I’ve been bad lately about not eating enough during the day.
Today, it was after 3 pm before I realized that I hadn’t eaten anything today.
(On the upside, I’ve had 3 32-oz cups of water so far)
So, even though I knew it wasn’t the best thing for me, I got Burger King.
But at least I walked over there, so I burned some of the calories I’m about to ingest…
The weather was perfect for taking a walk - not hot and not cold.
I want to start walking more, just never seem to have the time between working and my 10 month old daughter.
I want to try to find some local moms to go walking with so that I can get adult socialization *and* get some exercise…

I’m the first to admit…
I’m the first to admit that I’ve been bad about diet and exercise since Emma was born November 23rd. Between having to not do much in order to heal from the c-section, and then returning to work full-time when she was 3 months old, I’ve had plenty of excuses and valid reasons for not starting to exercise and properly diet again.
I’m back to my old eating habits, where dinner is my biggest meal of the day, and I usually don’t eat as many calories as I should be during the day.
It’s 11:22 am right now, and the only thing I’ve had all day has been a couple glasses of water and the diet coke I’m slowly sipping on right now.
John bought me some SlimFast Optima Rich Chocolate Royale for me to try. I keep forgetting that it’s in the fridge so I’ve been skipping breakfast lately, which is easy to do when Emma gets up at about 7:30 am, and I spend the next 2 hours playing with her before I leave for work atound 9:30.
My eating schedule is all screwy right now too. Since I’m working 10-7, I wind up usually missing breakfast, and then have a small meal around noon, followed by another small meal around 4 pm, and then dinner at around 8 pm.

Back at work!
I gave birth to a daughter on November 23, 2004, so now I have pregnancy weight in addition to my original weight to lose. The pregnancy weight is worth it, I’m not saying it isn’t, but it just makes the numbers look that much bigger when I think about how much weight I want/need to lose…
I started back to work on February 28th - I’m in the back corner of my side of the building, but the bright side to that is that I have to walk a decent distance from the elevator once I get to work, have to walk almost as far back to get to the bathroom, I’m right by the stairs so I walk down when I leave (we’re on the 4th floor and the door is locked coming up, so I only go down them), and I’m 30 seconds away from the water cooler. So I’ve been keeping a 32-ounce cup at my desk and filling it up at least 4-5 times a day. Yeah, I’m a big water fan, and it’s oh so cold coming out of the water-filter-cooler-dispenser-thingy that they have.
We also live on the 3rd story of our apartment building (which was *huge* fun when I was very pregnant - let me tell you!!), so I’m walking up and down those steps once a day (at least - I’ve twice had to run back upstairs due to forgetting something and realizing it before I’d driven away).
I started selling Avon recently, and ordered a can of their SlimWell Dutch Chocolate meal shake (which isn’t half bad) and their Chocolate Mint snack bars (which are actually pretty good). I figured I might as well try out their diet products since I get a discount ;-)
